Still Bzzing...this time it's shampoo!

So, today's bzz is all about the new garnier Fructis Hydra recharge shampoo, conditioner and 1-minute moisture treatment!  As a bzz agent, it is my job to try out the products, and share my honest opinion about said products!  To do this, I receive a very generous bzz kit containing, in this case, full size samples of the shampoo, conditioner, and treatment...YAY!

Not to mention, I now have coupons to share with those of you who are lucky enough to cross my path!

I will start by saying that I have not been a Garnier Fructis fan in the past, not that their products are bad, but mostly that they aren't great...

One of this products claims to fame, or at least uniqueness is the fact that the shampoo is infused with tiny moisture beads...

You can actually see and feel the beads, but they quickly dissolve in the water.  Although they give the shampoo an interesting look and texture, I didn't notice any extra moisturization or special effects produced by the beads so I'm not impressed. 

I will say, and I have no idea if it has anything to do with those beads or not, that the shampoo smells awesome, fresh and clean and just a little fruity!

The 1-minute moisture treatment says to apply it from roots to tips, which I don't normally do because of greasiness.  For the sake of testing the product, I did follow the instructions, and surprise surprise, my hair was weighed down and a bit greasy...

Using it on just the ends of my hair eliminated the greasy problem, but I have to say I still wasn't impressed with the moisturization, it's not that the products don't work exactly, it's just that they aren't anything special, 

So my final eval is that the Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge system is just ok, not bad, but not outstanding.

Mmmmmm Coffee?

It's time now for what's your BZZ?!

Well, hello bzz kit!  

As most of you already know, I am a bzz agent, and as such, I am frequently asked to try free samples of new products and to share my honest opinion of said products.

Today it is Nescafe Memento, a fancy frothy, instant coffee treat, and my generous bzz kit included 3 flavors, Carmel latte, cappuccino, and Mocha for me to try, as well as a packet of coupons for me to share!  

Ok, lets give it a try...

Seems easy enough...

We'll start with the Carmel latte, and since it's early and he needs the boost, we'll let Joshua have the first sample...

And the verdict is?...

Hmmm, Joshua is not impressed, wimpy flavor and no wow factor...

The best that can be said about this instant beverage according to Josh?

"It's good enough for camping..."

Ouch!  That's like having a good personality!

Ok, my turn, it looks good, nice and foamy (The box says they infused the powdered milk with air which gives is a super frothy texture that lasts)

But, I'm going to have to agree with Joshua, it's not bad, but it definitely lacks flavor, and the foam gets a little strange after a few sips...almost chewy...

So, my conclusion is...

The Nescafe Memento instant coffee beverage is convenient, but lacks impressive flavor.

I have to agree with Josh on this one, it's basically good enough for camping, but not for the kitchen!

Oh For the Love of Morning Star Farms!

It's time again for me to share some exciting BZZ with you, and this time I have the privilege of telling you about our long standing love affair with Morning Star!

Now, first things first, I must tell you that I am a bzz agent, and I received a coupon for a free Morning Star product to try along with a few coupons to hand out, but my opinions are my own, shared honestly, and freely!

A lot of times when I am called upon to share the bzz about a product, it is a product that is, if not new in existence, then new to me.

But I must admit that I have been a Morning Star Farms fan for years!

I love to heat up their garden veggie patties or spicy black bean burgers add a slice of tomato and a piece of cheese for a light lunch or dinner!

I love that the they have 74% less fat than a beef burger, and I love that they are so delicious, but I really love how much my kids love them!

Noah likes his breakfast sausage with ketchup...

While Gigi goes in with both hands, no condiments necessary!

And the veggie patties are a great alternative to regular chicken nuggets!

I highly recommend the Morning Star Farms meatless products, for flavor, for their low cost, and as a healthy alternative to beef!

The CoverGirl BZZ

Ok, we have to start with the basics...

Today's Bzz is all about the new CoverGirl Blast Flipstick!

My bzzkit, the package containing free samples, coupons and info, came the other day and I got to check out the latest in lipstick concepts from CoverGirl!

The concept is simple...a somewhat artistic approach to lipstick, instead of one shade pre-blended and as is, with the flipstick, you get two shades balanced to blend in several ways to give you unlimited options for wear!

One end is creamy and the other has shine, and together they create the ultimate gorgeous supermodel lip look!

Ok, so lets try it!

Ok, seriously difficult to take a close up of your own lips, bear with me!

But I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised!  The shade I tried is called Vixen, and the shades were more pink than I generally like, so I wasn't expecting to like it...but I do!

The colors blended smoothly, and made my lips feel soft, and I actually think the shade is fun!

I'm not into the wild and crazy catwalk looks that you can create with the color combo, but I am a fan of being able to blend the colors myself to create just the right shade. 

I like the product, and I will continue to use it !

The suggested retail price for one of these babies is $8.49, and that's not too bad given the average cost for lipstick, and the fact that you get so many options with this dual action color combo!

The Bzz is Back...and this Time it's all about Glade Expressions!

 

My Glade Expressions Bzz kit arrived the other day and it included 2 coupons, one for a FREE Glade Expressions oil diffuser starter kit (pictured above left) and one for a FREE Glade Expressions fragrance mist starter kit (above Right). Bzzagent sent me the kit with the coupons so that I could try the products and share my opinions!

So I immediately...

after the laundry was finished, the kids had napped, and the dishwasher was unloaded...

ran out and picked up my free stuff!

How the house smells is very important to me as we have two kids and a kitty!

All of whom contribute their fair share of smellyness!

So, let's start with the oil diffuser first.

I was little nervous about the scent, Glade offers 3 options in the oil diffuser, pineapple & mangosteen, Fuji apple & cardamom, and lavender & juniper berry.

Luckily, the box had a handy dandy scent spot so I could smell what I liked before I bought it.

 I usually keep a candle on the shelf in the laundry room, kitty Raja's domain, to keep things fresh.

 So when I saw the oil diffuser, I thought that would be the perfect spot to test it!

The oil diffuser lived up to its advertised strengths, it was easy to put together, the packaging is spill proof and attractive, and within minutes I could smell a difference.

I'm not in love with the fragrance, it smells like a dryer sheet, not unpleasant, but a little soapy.

Soapy is better than ode de kitty, however!

Conclusion?  I like it in my laundry room, but I wouldn't use it for the rest of the house.

Ok, on to the fragrance mist!

Glade offered one extra scent choice in addition to the fragrances listed above, and I chose it with enthusiasm, Cotton & Italian mandarin sounded lovely!

And for me it's a no brainer on where the mist should be kept...

The fragrance mist advertises an easily refillable system, and since the refills are less expensive than many of the other sprays, I appreciate the savings.

So, I gave a test spray before leaving the house to run some errands...

And was pleasantly surprised when I returned and still smelled the freshness in the air!

Hmmm, Glade may have a winner here as far as I'm concerned!

You all know me as a crafty mother of two, but you may not know that I am also...

a BZZ Agent! 

I am a member of www.bzzagent.com and as such I get to try new and interesting products for free!  Basically, I try the product, and share my opinion about it with others.  Generally I'm given coupons or samples to share and I try to get other's feedback about the products as well.

So, my latest Bzz campaign is Dentyne Ice Split2fit packs!

My Bzz kit contained two generous multi-packs of the gum to try and to share.

So I tried some, and now I'm sharing...my opinion!

 Now, I've always been a fan of Dentyne Ice gum, it tastes good, and it lasts long so I buy it occasionally.

The difference here is not the taste, but rather in the packaging...

 The split2fit concept is that you get two slim packs of gum instead of one bulky pack and you get to take one and leave one.  Also, since the pack is so small and slim it will fit almost anywhere.

(Took these myself, thank you very much!)

And it does. 

But I'm a diaper bag wielding mother of two so the size of my gum package is never an issue for me!

See it fits!

The campaign seems to be geared at a...gasp...younger generation, and it's mostly wasted on me.

 I think it's a cool concept, and I like that this pack has 16 pieces instead of the traditional 12, but I wouldn't buy it based on the new packaging.
