Rules of etiquette for celebrating the 4th of July!

When celebrating the 4th of July, it is important to be sure to wear something festive...
Of course, a shirt is preferable, and if your mom tells you that you must change into a dress, it is best not to argue!
Whatever you wear, you should be sure to accessorize it with a great big smile...
Especially, if you're doing something you know you're not supposed to...
When celebrating the 4th of July you should be sure to display the proper enthusiasm for the upcoming fireworks...
Dancing is acceptable...
and cheering is also good...
When celebrating the 4th of July, you should sit still and enjoy the fireworks display...
Oooos and Ahhhhhhs are also a must...
Even if you're getting sleepy!
Of course, 4th of July celebrations last through the weekend, and another necessary tradition is...
Making smores!  (which of course has its owns set of rules)
Rule #1:
This is the only time when marshmallows may be eaten directly off of the sharp implement used to cook them...
Rule #2:
Smores MUST be sticky...
of course, rule #2 1/2 says that if there is a willing Nonna nearby you can ask to have your hands wiped clean!
Rule #3:
Smores should make you smile...
and eating several smores...
should make you laugh out loud!
Rule #4 isn't really a rule, more of a suggestion...
If you can make your smores in an area with a spectacular view at sunset...
You should!
Happy 4th of July!
