One of those days...

Have you ever had one of those days where you drop your child off for the first day of school...

And then you blink, and it's the middle of September?...

or, one of those days where it's so hot you can't believe it's September...

And then you blink...

And it rains for an entire week?...

OR, have you ever had one of those days where...

You can't find the right purse, so you wear both of them...

But then realize that you really need a hat to go with it...

And your sunglasses keep sliding off your nose...

And when you finally get yourself all together...

You realize, that all you really needed was a magic wand in the first place?!!

Yup, it's just one of those days!

There is a First Time for Everything!

It began earlier this week with the loss of his first tooth...

and a very lucrative visit from the tooth-fairy...

and while it seemed that almost nothing could top the thrill of gaping holes in the mouth,

It turns out, that there is something better...

Don't let that sweet little face fool you...

This is how he really feels!

breakfast conversation was all about learning, with choruses of the A, B, C's and Gigi's bright inquiry of...

"Where my school?"

It was a morning full of smiles, laughter...

And exuberant jubilation!!!...sniff...

It helps that he has several preschool friends joining him...

and what could be better than going to kindergarten for the first time?...

How about getting to be the line leader on the first day of kindergarten!!!

That's what I thought!

of course, not everyone was able to keep a stiff upper lip and join in the celebration...

But it didn't take too long to recover, especially when she realized she was going to have mommy and daddy all to herself for the whole day!
